After a few years of watch collecting, I think its time for me to add an "R" in my collection.
My ultimate goal is the GMT Master II, but that's gonna be a long journey.
Now I shifted my focus to something that is more accessible from AD and these 2 started to grow on me.
If you can only pick one of these, What is your pick?
My current state of the watch collection
- Omega Seamaster 300M black dial
- Zenith Defy El Primero 21
- Hamilton Khaki Field Murph 42mm
- Seiko 5 Sports 140th Anniversary Limited Edition
- MoonSwatch Mission to Jupiter
- Casio A168wa
- Casio F91W classic black resin
The OPs, DJs, and DDs are timeless imo
If you plan on eventually adding a GMT Master II to your collection, I'd suggest the DJ, since the Explorer II is essentially a GMT Master with a fixed bezel. The DJ would offer more potential variety, not to mention that it's a classic.
As above , cannot fault the logic ,plus the DJ would be easier to get and build a relationship with the AD
I'd go for the explorer despite the very accurate comment from @tempus because I would wear it more often and I generally prefer the explorer over the date just. But don't listen to me and decide for yourself which watch will fit your collection best. ๐
I prefer the 36, but love all the DJ models. But I think Iโd go with the Explorer here for versatility if nothing else.
The Casio F91-W ๐.
Seriously though, if it were my money, the Explorer II. Not a fan of the 41mm DJ. Now, if it were between the 36mm DJ and the Exp II, Iโd go with the 36mm DJ.
Let us know what you decide!
Iโd have to agree with @tempus above.
A datejust would be a nice contrast to the GMT.
Love the El Primero, very cool watch !
