Double lug holes are a game changer!

Today, I decided to change the strap on my Baltany D12 for a new look, but, unfortunately, did not manage to find a comfortable fit with the strap on this watch. One hole was too tight. The next one was too loose. You know how it is.

Then, I remembered that this little watch has 2 sets of holes in the lugs. One higher and closer to the case meant for leather straps, and one lower and further from the case for NATOs.

But these can also serve as micro-adjustments for a strap, except on the case side instead of the buckle on a bracelet! Changing the strap from one set of lug holes to the other added just enough length (2-3mm) for the strap to fit perfectly in the hole that was previously too tight! Game changer! Thanks for this neat little detail Baltany.🙏

I wish more manufacturers added these double lug holes to use as micro-adjustments when the wrist swells or when you find yourself in between two holes on a leather strap! 🎯

I must admit I can't tell the difference and have worn this watch with one end in one hole and the other in the other. Still a nice watch though. 👍

The difference is small but one set of holes is meant for straps to sit snug against the case or for curved springbars, and the other set further from the case is meant to have enough clearance for thicker NATO straps. 👍

I think Ball does this too. I have no idea how they drill these holes at all. Somebody claimed that they just drill from an angle because it's so shallow that nobody cares.

In some cases, the special people that are preoccupied with the rare event of spring bar failure could double up.

I never saw this before but I had the idea just yesterday that this is something that should exist

What's the watch in the original pic?

This Hammy too. The name is too long to remember.

😳I had no idea such a thing existed 😳

Knot do this on at least one of their watches, the chronograph I think.

Now I’m going to have to check all my watches to see if any of them have this. I’d settle for drilled lugs or quick release spring bars but this takes things to the next level.

Straum does double mount points too
