SOTC & a question

Hi! This is, I think, my first state of collection shot. This is my active-duty selection. I have quite a few more (!) that I intend to sell.

I am seriously thinking of adding this watch, a Laco Cuxhaven in 39mm.

I love the dial. Do you think it’ll be a good fit?

Yes.

Thanks, Kevin. 🐥

Style wise, it fits… as in it blends right in. It doesn’t really add anything unique that the the Stowa, Junghans or RGM already have.

That’s a handsome watch! Never seen this reference before. I think a sports watch with an oyster style bracelet would fit in better 🤔

all elegant watches, that laco would be a good fit but you have similar watches also

Thanks, Mark. I’m not keen on oyster bracelets, actually. I certainly can see what you’re pointing out. The closest thing I have to a dive watch is, in fact, a dedicated sports watch. My Muhle 29er is built for sailing and is stealthy that way! It’s as waterproof as a diver, and built like an elegant tank!

But I am considering a dive watch someday.

I really want one of these Oris divers:

And there’s a black one. I like beads of rice bracelets (unless I get my hands on an Overseas 😂).

True. I think I’m finding what I really like. Obviously there’s an aesthetic at work here. Of course it’s a bit of a mystery to me..😄

Yes. No duplication in your collection regarding field watches and in itself a really nice looking watch with a great crown. ✅

I'm seeing a Laco in there, so how about a Hanhart Pioneer Preventor 9? Small seconds at the 9, and some cathedral hands. I think the open 6 is a nice touch as well. Specs: 40mm dia, 48.5mm lug to lug, and 12mm thick with 100m of WR.

Outstanding suggestion!!! It fits the ethos of the collection but raises it up a notch or three.

Yes. That’s a real consideration. But I’m looking for a white or cream dial. Perhaps I’ll have a nice look at their site. 😃

Thanks!

Hey, great call! I looked over Hanhart and found this beauty:

Hey Man, it would fit well for sure. But maybe a Diver would add a little bit more variety? I also like the iris vintage divers a lot.

Yep, it certainly fits the box vibe Image

I freaking love this watch. IMO it’s very versatile and very well made. I would love to see one
