The East Wind

This is my first foray into the Chinese vintage market.  Dongfeng was rebranded in 1973 as Seagull for the export market.  This dial is very similar to the Seagull @AlbertaTime posted earlier.

I think that it is pretty in the way that a vintage 1970 Timex can be.  I have since changed the strap, but it was what I had at my desk at the time. The case and case back show age appropriate wear.  I noticed blemishes on the dial in the photograph that I did not see with the naked eye.  Oddly, that made me feel better.  The movement is not striped.

All that you mention, including the un-striped ST5 movement, is expected and consistent with Dongfeng watches. Very cool very classic catch!

Chinese watches are how I got here lol- can't afford to collect anything else besides weird old eBay watches- seiko 5s too

By the way, the ST5h was the first higher beat ST5, 21,600 (normally has ST5 on the train wheel bridge) 👍

Looks great. I would wear it without a doubt
