In terms of addictions, even when people are all, "Look! I've filled up another watch box! It's my fourth! Please like my latest SOTC post! What's that? Do I wear them? Well, uh, not really. Not most of them, anyway..." its still pretty innocent stuff versus other vices.
Years ago I had a horrible cocaine addiction and was barely able to make rent. So I decided to get clean and focus my addictive tendencies on hobbies like watch collecting.
Now I’m five years sober and living on the street in a shelter made of watch boxes. If I can just get back my security deposit from the landlord who evicted me, I can add a Hamilton Jazzmaster to my roof.
Not entirely accurate. There should be a third face after the second face the looks exactly like the first face. Let's be real. Watches don't bring happiness. Sorry to be a Debbie downer but, I'm a Veteran with PTSD and no matter what watch I buy it will never solve the underlying issues.
I enjoy wearing my watches but, it doesn't do anything to my long term state of mind.
