Graduation Watch!

Have been planning on getting a watch for graduation (university), and these Alpinist Reissues have had my eye since they were announced.

Is the green-dial trend over? Probably. Do I care? No!

What vintage Seiko designs deserve a reissue or reimagining that haven’t gotten one yet?

Green is certainly not over. I'm craving a green dial and that Seiko looks lush.

The Pogue needs reissuing. I keep looking at getting one but I'm scared of fakes 😬

i've been drooling over this Seiko Alpinist myself!

I want Seiko to reissue the Seiko Bullhead 6138-0040.

I still love green👍

Congratulations on graduating!

Tiffany Blue is timeless, just ask the guys from Watchfinder & Co. 😉

But seriously, if you dig the green, go for it.  The watch is for you, regardless of the trends.  And this watch is supposed to mark a point in your life, so go with your favorite look.

I'll throw another rec into the mix - the Seiko "Ginza" 140th Anniversary SPB259

There are hard to find at original price now, but a few on here have been able to grab them at MSRP from AD's.  The dial is stunning and it's a special edition anniversary watch, so it marks a special time like you are looking for.

Whatever you go with, congratulations on your graduation!

I've looked at those, and agree it'd be a really great reissue candidate! The top mount crown and pushers would help it stand out from the rest of the vintage-inspired chrono crowd.

The Pogue-themed Seiko 5 gives me hope. Someone at Seiko is aware the story is worth revisiting!

Thank you! Excited to get a few years of "real life" experience... may return for graduate school in Urban Planning.

Really thought about trying to find one of these. The price was really good on the SPB245 new from the AD... so I jumped for it.

SUS 4s15. Same movemenmt, same case finishing, same everything. Just blow it up to 40-42mm and I'm in.

Seiko Presage Cocktail is also a desirable green-dial watch. But the Alpinist are beautiful too.
