Black ion plating durability on Gshocks

I'm saving up to buy the G-steel B400bd series with the black ion plating but I'm not sure about the durability of the plc coating to scratches and how long its gonna stay intact

I would appreciate any thoughts on the matter and whether I should get one or just stick to the steel versions without any coating ?

I’ve got the steel version and think it looks great.

I’ve got a Mido Chronograph from 2013 that’s pvd coated and still looks okay but I’m a lot more careful with that than I am with the G-Shock.
