Would you sell your Black Bay 58 to buy the new BB58 GMT?
This is something I’ve been asking myself since the shocking release of the Black Bay 58 GMT! I’m sure many others have as well… But with a GMT case size of 39mm by 12.8mm thick, it’s hard to believe they actually made it!
If you don’t own the BB58 and you could have either watch -Would you choose the new BB58 GMT, or the classic BB58?
Very curious!
(I love my BlackBay 58 and see it almost as a quintessential classic at this point… But, it’s hard to imagine having both in a collection for me personally.)

I would never part with the BB58, no matter much I want the new watch.
Depends on whether you want a dive watch or GMT. I personally would add the GMT since I already have a dive watch in my collection.
I love the new GMT but I’d never sell my OG BB58 for it. A GMT is for traveling right… but I can’t wear expensive watches when I travel due to fear of theft sooo…😅
Anyways, you can definitely have both! They are different enough. Or wait a few years for a white dial Pepsi variant in the 58 case. It’s bound to happen.

I’m still on the fence about the guilt, it seems much stronger than the original BB58

They’re luxury watches… they are justified in any way possible without reason.
