What color for everyday wear?

I’m curious, when it comes to a neutral color palette, what’s typically your choice for a daily wear watch strap?

For me personally, I have always felt like these 3 colors pair with almost any color dial. These have consistently been my personal core colors for the last three years, so that’s why I chose to start with them!

I believe that browns are best for daily “any situation” wear. They tend to be flexible with both dark and light clothing, and are a classic color to complement most watches. Of these options though, I’d definitely go with Slate Gray.

I have to say though, due to lighting, the picture you used does not well reflect the colors you reference in your post (at least to my eyes).

I use to think grey was the everyday color until I started getting dark green watch straps. Those are definitely more my style and goes well with jeans or khakis

I agree, it was hard with the lighting. Here’s a better example

All very versatile shades. It’s a tough choice between them. Still, I’d like to put a word in for brown!

Agreed, brown is an often over looked color for everyday wear!

Almost always brown leather. Mostly at the tan/cognac end of the spectrum.

I agree for leathers. I just can’t use leather straps for swimming :(

True though I've never found it a problem myself.

All the pools I've swum at have a clock and if I'm swimming in the sea I'm on holiday!

If you don’t plan to wear your watch in the water, than not a problem at all!

Out of interest, why would I want to wear my watch in the water?

For me, it’s important for surfing as I can easily loose track of time on the waves and need to know when to be back for something. And generally, I don’t like to have to remember to remove my watch if swimming, hiking, or even going to the gym. So I need sweat resistance. Certainly not necessary for some of those activities, but helpful.

Black and brown are the kings of everyday wear. Brown and black leather straps will go with all of my outfits.

Agreed!
