This pretty Seiko was manufactured in April 1996 and given to my buddy Mike by his wife in 1998. It has a 5P31 quartz movement and had a dead Varta 373 battery in it but the Seiko decoder at retroseiko.co.uk said that it takes a 371, which I happened to have in stock, so I installed that and the watch came back to life. Since Mike never wears a watch now, Iโm hoping that my enthusiasm for watches has rubbed off on him.

Fantastic ! Good luck !
I knew just from the title this would be a great looking watch, but Wow!
And it's really fun bringing an old quartz back to life with a new battery about the size of a small pea which costs about a dollar and will last for years.
