Appreciate that! Personally, I'm just to practical (read: cheap) and clumsy to likely ever feel comfortable spending more than a few hundred dollars on a watch that I will inevitably scratch and ding. I also work outside in the field.
These Chinese homage brands offer me a chance to get some of the famous looks I adore at a price I can feel comfortable about actually wearing.
If I had to choose an affordable one watch collection (GADA - go anywhere do anything), it would probably be the dressKX (or the new version), or the Hamilton khaki field automatic on a bracelet. On the expensive end, the Zinn 556.
I enjoy changing things up every day too much to stick to just one, though!!
Are you sure the GMT doesn't work?
I was thinking the same thing at first (expecting the GMT hand to stay 5hrs ahead of the hour hand, for example), but this complication is different - it uses the 24hr bezel to tell time.
So for example, if it's noon ET and you want to set the GMT hand to London time (ET+5) , you would set it to 1700 (17 on the bezel).
It took me a day to realize this. I thought mine was malfunctioning too!
