A birthday gift to myself.

I'm turning 44 in a few days and I saw this modern take on a Citizen dive watch from the early '80s that I thought was quite fetching. Plus, I can't a...

Happy early birthday! I recently bought my second Citizen for myself for my birthday. Always a good way to mark an occasion!

They're rapidly becoming my favorite brand. The design, looks, and Ecodrive movement, as well as the quality control and pricing, are an unbeatable combination.

I've only got two watches from them, but I think they make some really unique and beautiful designs. Aesthetically, maybe not as strong as Seiko, but the pricing is so much more reasonable and the quality control is so much better, I feel it's a fair compromise. And, like I said, a solar movement that stays accurate for God knows how long? Amazing.

To me, part of being a great Diver is functional lume. The Duro is fantastic, but I feel it fails in that regard but it's an otherwise excellent choice and is likely the cheapest of the bunch.

Look into regional pricing of the Citizen Promaster Diver. They can often be found on deep discount for under $200 USD. Great looks, great lume, often a VERY terrific Ecodrive movement, and an ISO Certified dive watch.

That is a beautiful watch, and a gorgeous pic! I'm far from a car guy. Hell, driving usually gives me anxiety a bit.

That said, since I first saw their watches I've appreciated the looks. VERY handsome.

Give me a good waffle or tropic strap. It's the only option, to me.

This is my first titanium watch and it reminds me of a mixture of concrete and plastic, which I have to say is not unappealing. It's unusual, for sure, but interesting.

Fully lumed is always fantastic. I just couldn't pass up the black and gold looks with this one.
