I do like this dial. Give it to me as a San Martin and I could be hooked.

I love that Czapek, Chris Ward, and Addiesdive all have basically the same dial on three wildly different price pointed watches

Ben put a video up today and although the San Martin dial is similar, it’s not the same it has deeper ridges and more detail. Not too sure about the other.

Are you kidding? Still going through it!! I bought the dive watch and thought great looks nice .. then they came with these others.. doesn't help with the low price and what you get.. I have tried to stay away from AliExpress now.. I have those and I am done.. I hope😜

Ali express is just way too tempting, undeniably good looking watches often with nice finishing & ridiculous pricing. The problem is where do you stop? So far I’ve bought a Deus homage from Seastern & a Baltany Explorer homage but I think I’m calling it time now.it does make you stop to think why you are collecting though.

Call them copies or whatever, its a force to be reckon with when done right and putting away prejudices, its hard to admit it I know.

It's a homage of this Rolex. But I still like the dial on the homage better.

I think it would be a real homage but even then I find the connection you’re making to be a stretch. These Addiesdive using are using Explorer cases and bracelets but the rest is much closer to Grand Seiko, if anything.

💯 Checking GS catalog seems more GS. Then again almost every microbrand uses the explorer blueprint.

To date, the Addiesdive « Dune » dial is my only Aliexpress buy ever… And tbh it’s pretty good for the price. My only complain is the bracelet, which feel very very wobbly and cheap. But can I really complain at that price? 🫠

That dial is similar to the auto Ben showed in his recent video.

I got the Steeldive Willard homage to test the water before potentially splashing out on the real thing. Now I have no interest in buying the Willard as the steel dive has totally scratched that itch! I ended up getting the slim turtle instead.

Yep it can save some disappointment that’s for sure,can save buying an expensive watch on line based on pics that look great but on the wrist sometimes it doesn’t work, so that’s another plus of the homage watch.Also if you are looking to buy used & can’t try on a new version of something an homage can give you a good idea if it’s worth doing.

Those "dune" dials sure look good. I also have them on my Ali wishlist. How do they wear on the wrist?

Wearing it right now. My wrist is 7.5” for reference. No issues with comfort at all.
