My biggest Tudor disappointment

As a 925 Black Bay 58 owner I’ve been hoping they’d give us a silver bracelet option one day. Now 3 years after that watch came out with this ridiculous gold version, they give THAT one a bracelet but not one for us 925 aficionados 🤬

Yeah, that's a good point Mike, I like this watch and I like that Tudor has enough confidence in the brands cachet to release a diver in a hero metal - but a bracelet for the 925 should be an option - I'd be disappointed too.

Anthony honestly I never thought they'd give me one, but when I saw this new gold one come up...which NO ONE bought when it was new I had a glimmer of hope. Alas.

Someone please feel free to chime in and correct me but I recall reading from older discussions when the first 925 BB58 was released that a bracelet would be problematic. These folks/jewelers who had worked with 925 silver before talked about how it’s very difficult to match finishes as the material isn’t necessarily consistent (from batch to batch). Essentially, they were saying was that both the watch-case and bracelet would need to be made from the same chunk of silver in order to ensure they would match. This, assumably, would not be great from a (mass) production standpoint.

If true, I imagine that getting an acceptable matching silver bracelet for an existing 925 silver would be hit or miss too. Again - not claiming this is true, just sharing what I remember from the string. I am betting Tudor could still do this, but guessing it would be more expensive and might not pencil for them.

they could use the exact alloy they used in the watch. it has some aluminum + a few other non specified metals to "keep it shiny"

A 30k Tudor, just what we have all been hoping for 😜

They’ve had this model since 2021 and no one bought it then. 🤷🏻‍♂️

They decided to make it even less likely to sell by going full gold 🤔

The fact that this bracelet is the 58 size and has no rivets+ T-fit is just the cherry on top of the f*** you cake that’s thrown directly in the fans faces. The Whole “they won’t delete the rivets because of the vintage character claim also gets thrown out the window with this so I’m just pissed because if that was the 925 I’d buy it up a few seconds

I’m surprised there are people willing to spend that much money to lug around a precious Tudor. They’re not THAT costly to begin with so why would you shoot yourself in the foot with a 250g gold dive watch?

My wish for a 925 in 37mm on a full silver bracelet has been wiped out, and I see others in the comments with the same desire albeit in 39mm

When I bought my 925 at the AD right when it came out my friend there was saying he couldn't believe they came out with the gold one. Couldn't imagine anyone buying it. I'll ask him if they ever sold any. Now with a gold bracelet...good heavens!

I have no experience with the issues they might be referring to... But there are millions of Silver Coins with a mixture of finishing on each of the coins and they manage to make them all look exactly the same... But maybe the production process is vastly different for their specific alloy?

I have to agree, a silver bracelet would have been way more interesting, or even more BB54 colors, instead of presenting a 30k€ Tudor that 3 people will buy... Really strange decision, but my guess it's mainly a publicity stunt

But the stunt failed in 2021 so I really don’t get it !! 😳

Hey ! Get this : you won’t believe it, but this gold Tudor is more expensive than the platinum Rolex 1908 🤷🏻‍♂️

Wow! That makes even less sense than it did before 🤯
