Want to buy my first Christopher Ward.

So I am coming up on five years at my job and want to treat myself, and I’ve always loved the CW design language so figured that is the direction I’d go in. BUT I DON’T KNOW WHAT TO BUY!! It’ll be my first CW, but what to get? The super compressor? The C60 Trident Pro? The Anthropocene or Orange Sapphire? Help! What to do? Make your arguments in the comments!

It depends on what other watches you have, and whether you want something striking, or more versatile.

I have the 40mm blue C60, and it is a great watch. It can be a bit flashy with the light catcher case, ceramic bezel insert, and polished surfaces on the indexes and hands. That said, it would be the least blingy/flashy of the options you listed, as all watches have the same case design style, but the others have much louder dials.

Have you looked at the C63 line at all?

Lastly, the C65 Mk2 is coming out in April... Might be worth waiting a bit to see what it looks like. I know I'm saving my pennies in anticipation of it.

Trident or GMT. Live in a warm climate near water, then Trident. Travel lots for work or pleasure, then GMT? Both are great and versatile so maybe flip a coin.

C65 Mk2 in April, i thought the Mk 2 already came out with the most significant change being a screw-in crown at least on the Sandhurst as far as I know!

Hi there! Maybe go for one of their chronometers? Nice to have something like that on the wrist, though most CW's have good timekeeping anyway👍 I have the first edition of the elite Pro Diver, superb watch for the money, compared to pricier dive watches. You'll enjoy whatever one you get👌

Personally I’d go for the C60 Sapphire in blue. You are showing the orange but I’d query whether the colour would bear the test of time as well as blue. Without knowing what else is in your collection it’s hard to work out the fit and what it would be competing for wrist time with. I’ve the Moon Glow (completely different style of watch) and have been very happy with the ownership experience. To be fair all of the ones you‘ve listed are decent watches.

My favorite is the C65 Super Compressor with the aqua dial and on the aqua strap. Just looks fantastic and great true compressor mechanism.

The addition of the screw-down crown was more a Mk 1.5, in April they are releasing a completely updated C65.

Go for the super compressor.   My opinion is biased since I plan to treat myself to the super compressor for my birthday in a couple of months.

I'd get the C63 Sealander GMT. In my opinion, it looks even better than the Explorer II.

CW is a great option. one of my favorite brands and one I keep coming back to. I gave a C60 Hand Wind diver and a C63 White dial GMT.

Can't go wrong with a Sealander C63. They have some interesting dial colors now so plenty of options The case wears really well.
