Dressed Watch or Not...

Suited & Booted tomorrow so need to breakout a dressed Watch & this is as Dressy as I've got... Accurist MS645 Grand Prix on Black with Red Stitching Leather Strap. Looks killer with a Suit by the way.

Can it be considered a Dressed Watch ? I know it's technically a Sports Watch but is it...

To be, or not to be, that is the question ???

I would not consider it a dress watch, BUT, depending on the suit and the colors you will wear, I think you can pull it off. Maybe a grey or black suit with Red accents? (Tie, socks, etc)

No it is not considered a dress watch, Having said that, I have worn a suit and tie with Divers, I have worn a Smoking with a Tag Heuer Carrera Caliber 16 and I have used my Rolex GMT Master II for a wedding, in short I have never believed in the rules of etiquette

Was thinking same Suit in this pic... 3 piece Dark Blue Wool Suit but with Black Shirt, Black & Red Tie & a Red Pocket Square also with a Black Wool Overcoat???

Do you have a cellular telephone with which you can tell the time?

I do but I have to wear a watch would feel wrong not to. Is it that bad you would suggest not wearing it ???

Honestly? No, not a dress watch. But if your outfit looks something like this, it could become one:

I believe Accurist based it on this Tag

Yeah, they are quite similar in many respects. Not sure what came out first, but probably TAG indeed. But well - watches are small products. There is high probability of overlaps 😅

But returning to point - I guess this Accurist is not a dress watch. 11mm is quite thick to put under cuffs. Will look good though with more casual outfit

I'm a big guy 6.2 & 252 lbs... but it does look good with a suit & it's the Dressiest (smallest) watch I have in my collecrion so will have to do I'm Afraid 🤣

Dress watch? No. Acceptable to wear? Absolutely. If people are wearing smart watches on rubber straps while dressed up you can wear whatever watch you want.

I don't own a dressed Watch as they are to small & I think they look like I'm wearing my little sisters watch... so I was looking for something that fits me & I owned & thought this would be acceptable to wear as I thought this would fit the bill... (for me) still think it far to small for me but better than wearing a chunky diver or G-Shock 🤣🤣🤣 surely???
