Another fantastic blue dial. Love the strap combo.
Yea, I wasn't sure at first about putting a blue leather on a blue watch, but I sure am glad I did. Maybe you can give it a try too once you grow bored of the bracelet.

Yeah, most people would probably go brown. Props to you for being bold. Looks great!
Wow, that Grand Seiko is a real stunner! You definitely captured the waves, and being a beach person, that dial captures my heart. 🏝🌊
I guess my best blue dial is this modest Invicta Grand Diver with the 18k PVD plating. Such a rich blue-violet and the dial has depth to the color, combined with the applied markers...I really love looking at it.
My other favorite blue dial is this Embassy by Gruen, again, with such depth & sheen. Super readable in very dim light too:

Appreciate the kind words! Absolutely love that vintage sports bracelet on the Gruen.
Loved it from the moment I saw it. One of my favorite pieces of all time.
I’ve been looking for one. If I got it, it would compete with my blue dial 41 Rolex Datejust 41, which I would trade for a green dial or grey wimbledon dial. The gold touches on the SGLA007 are just perfect. How is the wearing experience? Bracelet?

It wears and feels amazing on the wrist. Grand Seiko gets a lot of hate for their bracelets, but I have no issues whatsoever. The bracelet is extremely comfortable, and I absolutely love the clasp.
I am always looking for one. Their are other versions that evoke a similar feeling, like the SLGA021, but don’t quite have the same magic as the SLGA007 to me for some reason. I think their SBGY007g also has some of the same magic, but in a more dressy cousin. I’m headed to Boston in a few weeks and can’t wait to check out the GS Boutique there.

Only have the not so grand option, but still looks pretty nonetheless. That Lake Suwa dial is on a whole another level though, cheers 🍻

Beautiful GS you have there

Thank you! Love the SuperOcean.
Nice, SLGA007 brother!
The watch looks so different in my photos too..
Looks more navy here
Quite blue in direct light, but too bright
Light to dark like a real lake. The waves look quite nice here.

How is the SGLA007 treating you? I’ve LOVED it from afar, over the internet only. It seems perfect, but have yet to see one in the metal.

It’s a stunning piece all around.
