Most Affordable Spring Drive?

I'm really interested in acquiring a watch with the Spring Drive movement, but I don't want to spend $5K or more. I've heard that some higher end Seiko models are also equipped with the Spring Drive. What models are those and does anyone here own one?

I’d look for something used you should be able to find something for under 5 if you look. The seikos are going to be the same price as the GS or more because they were limited

The most inexpensive ones will most likely be discontinued Seikos and Grand Seiko models from before GS was spun off into a separate brand from Seiko entirely. Pre-owned examples in good condition will probably set you back anywhere from 2,000-2,500 USD, possibly more if it's in really minty condition. Considering the age of some of these watches and how they may have been used by their previous owners, it's entirely possible that they'll require servicing as well so you should factor that into your decision making process should you choose to go this route.

Off the top of my head, there are three discontinued Seikos that I know of that had the 5R65 or the 5R66 movement. The GMT Landmaster, The GMT Marinemaster, and The Spring Drive Tuna. These are all big sporty watches, but if your wrist can handle it, they're pretty cool.

Try the second hand market or the grey market..

I own an Ananta GMT Spring Drive and I love it. Already mentioned, you can easily get into something you like by choosing the preowned route.
