I bought this black and red NATO to pair with my Certina DS Action Powermatic 80. I think they look great together, but I can't figure out how to get a snug fit with this type of friction buckle. I tried over and over with no luck. Any pointers?

I've never tried these (because they don't look like a good idea) but good old CNS is not the best about maintaining links to their videos. Looks like you need to wiggle the slack out of it.

Thanks for the video.
I now know not to buy one of those kind of straps.

I have no first hand experience, but I agree that a demo video showing a literal dozen thumb nudges is not inspiring. I'd like to hope that maybe it becomes easier once broken in, but someone with experience would need to provide that answer.

I'll try this method, but in the future I'll probably steer clear of this type of strap.
