Watches you have owned.

Being a man of “normal” means, my watch collecting is more of a rolling and developing affair than a huge collection of keepers. It’s gently swells over the 12-13 years I’ve been “serious” but I thought it may be interesting to have a tag for the ones you let get away. . .

Thisis a selection of what’s slipped through my fingers in the last 18 months or so.

Post some lovely pics of some of the watches that got away!

It is a game of catch and release for many ☺️ You mention they have "slipped through my fingers"... Do you wish you had kept these? Would you re-buy any of them do you think?

·

I Loved the Omega, and the AnantA, but they had to make way for my recent and defestating grand Seiko addiction!

I would have kept them if money was no object for sure.

What was it that made you want to sell the JLC?

The aerospace 🙌🏻

I have been looking at one on chrono24 - why did you sell it?

I’ve had 3 or 4 over the years, and although I absolutely love them, they are just a bit too delicate for my every day wear. but for 9 months I felt like I was in an episode of Poirot

I decided to keep my Tag AR Chronotimer.

I can totally relate to the problems Grand Seiko cause. Their White Birch is my current grail... oh my lord what a beauty. If I wanted it right now I would have to sell all my current watches, my car and a kidney, so I'm currently saving 😆

So true! My problem is that I am a collector, so as satisfying as getting the reward for saving up for one big purchase may be, I can't stop jonesing long enough to get there. Some new entry tier or a mid tier watch grabs triggers my collecting addiction and I am off track to get my Grand Seiko yet again. 🤣 I have come to accept that I am an entry tier collector with some mid tier watches in my collection. 😀
