Next watch (pur)chase

Over the few months, I had been lusting over multiple watches due to social media/youtube/etc. My immediate hype lasted about 1-2 weeks before disappearing completely, potentially due to busy work schedule. I managed to hold off on the trigger finger, so my wallet is happy for now.

Here are the watches I went ballistic over:

  • Cartier Tank Louis, particularly this one with an AP movement featured on Hodinkee's websiteImage
  • Longines Evidenza Chronograph Automatic, black dial (as a Craig Bond fan,  I found out Le Chiffre wears a quartz model of this in Casino Royale)
Image
  • Hamilton Interstellar watch (day date), got hooked on this after watching Oisin/Timeless Watch Channel's splendid breakdown of the film
Image
  • Seiko Credor Phoenix Chronograph, think I saw some post on r/watches about this being a JDM release and a column wheel chronograph. Almost pulled the trigger on this one here in white, titanium case

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaand that brings me to my question, where to go from here? Obviously I've saved money by not buying any of these. There are a few heavy hitters I've kept my eye on for more than a few months, mainly the Rolex Yachtmaster 40 rhodium dial and Blancpain Fifty Fathoms diver (not Bathyscaphe). The Credor made me look into titanium watches but I wouldn't get one of the titanium Grand Seikos.

Looking forward to a discussion in the comments! (context, I own an 80's speedy and the Brosnan SMP)

Oh yeah, another one I was looking at for some time was the Tudor 'Tiger' Prince Date chronos, particularly this configuration. (If you can't already tell, Oisin has a way of making an influence on my tastes with his video content and storytelling)

Very subjective topic, but from the watches you listed, I'd personally choose the Hamilton Interstellar because of its look.

All in all I'd not buy any of these anyways and actually save up for the mentioned heavy hitters, because I found, that a watch I don't crave 100%, doesn't fill that hole and doesn't make me happy for more than a few days. If you can let it itch a bit longer and save more money, I would certainly guarantee, that you'll thank me once you've purchased one of your grails. :)

This is the reason I will no longer buy any in-between-watches and better save that money to make me really happy.

I'm thinking about getting an Explorer, maybe a Sub.

Always Rolex if I get the call...outside of that Cartier Tank Extra Large and a Panerai PAM00995. I'm gonna build the green collection.

My next purchase is undoubtfully a Vintage, obscure watch, with great historical significance.

My next purchase just arrived, an added gem to my collection 😃!

I second you for the Doxa 600T and the new Aquastar ll. The Synchron group really did a nice job with the Aquastar ll and the price is affordable as well 👌. The case size looks perfect and the vintage esthetics are on point. Solid choice 👍.

Frank Muller Vanguard Yachting Skeleton. A beautifully crafted masterpiece from the master of complications. Price variety is based on the materials however you can find affordable options. I have my eye on a few different version and depending on the price I can get it for will be the defining factor however Vanguard Yachting Skeleton is what I'm aiming for.

For me, Rolex Datejust 41 if you can find stock. I suggest Hamilton Interstellar and Cartier Tank Extra Large which are my purchases last year.(Image failed to load!)(Image failed to load!)

Next purchase is a Funder-Måne from Watch Angels
