First experience with Haute Horlogerie

Latest acquisition is this amazing Moser Heritage Center Seconds. Feels great on the wrist, and I like the look more than I thought I would. Any other Moser fans here?

Congrats on the Moser, a watch I very much considered buying a while ago. I love this watch a lot. 👍

·

Fantastic watch, looks amazing !

·

I really love that watch. Kinda want the dual time

·

Love Moser: the designs, the irreverence (Apple Watch, Swiss cheese watch, the mysterious Swiss Icons watch 😂) and that it’s an honest Swiss build.

This model has the globalight markers - very cool. Are they as good as a Seiko dive watch yet? Sadly none of my Swiss divers come close to my Seikos. 😒. But I don’t have any high horology like yours.

What size? How’s it wear?

I’m always tempted to get a Pioneer but 42.8mm is an unknown fit fir my 15 cm wrist!?

Congrats on the Moser, the blue colorway looks fantastic!

This is a 42mm case and it fits well on my 17cm wrist. The short lugs help a lot with wearability.

In terms of lume, I would say it’ll not be as good as a Seiko. Seiko lume is like a flashlight lol 😂. Lume on this piece is just as good as a Tudor or Rolex diver though. The Globalight markers do give a subtle 3D effect to the dial which adds to its charm

Gorgeous lume

Oh well, yes nothing Swiss can touch Seiko. Oh well.

Yup - The 3d blocks of lume are my favourite.

Glad to know it’s fits small! I’m going to get my first Moser soon I think 🤔 🤫

Nice watch with last century styling. Case shape, onion crown and minute track give it away. Top notch quality there.

·

Nobody does fume dials as well as moser

·

Wow! Awesome acquisition.

I have the same piece! It was my first (and only) high horology watch puchase as well. Got a great deal on one even though it wasn't my first choice Moser, but have zero regrets after wearing it for a month plus.

The ONE thing I didn't dig about this watch was the white stitching on the kudu leather strap. The Endeavours have the same kudu brown with mono-colored stitching, but I'm sure this strap with the white stitching also has its fans.

Jumping in to comment as I have the same watch, it wears really nicely! It's 42mm but with the wire lugs, I think it would work on a 15cm wrist for sure.

As for the Pioneers, they can be pretty big but have you looked into the new 40m sized one? I think that one might be better than the bigger ones for you.

Congrats on new Moser, great piece. Fan of Moser and on the look for one. Should they offer blue Pioneer centre seconds with bracelet ( rubber really not a great fit IMO ) I would be going for it. Streamliner is also preety cool but heafty price is putting me out of the game

So annoying, nowhere to try on these watches in my area.

Sadly, Moser doesn’t have much to offer in the 40 size currently, and prices in my ballpark are second hand 43s, and I dig the crazy colorways

But - can’t buy unless I try. So, I will keep waiting! 🫤

Getting back to you on this, was just watching a review of the Pioneer 43cm, and they recommended it for wrists 14.5cm and up. Moser uses curved springbars, and the holes are drilled in the middle of the lugs rather than at the ends. Also, the Pioneers have a slight curve to fit to the wrist so they could definitely work for you. Hope you get a chance to try one on, they are definitely gorgeous watches.

What a beautiful dial! Congratulations on your new haute horologie timepiece!
