JLC Reverso - Which Line?

The Reverso is likely the most iconic timepiece Jaeger-LeCoultre has ever made! Today, while some Reverso models retain the original design of the steel case back (Monoface), there are other models offering two dials. Duetto version offers two dials/two styles for the same time zone, while Duoface covers two time zones. Some models have small seconds on the first dial and day/night or moonface complication, etc. on the second dial. Currently, there are 3 lines of Reverso: Reverso Tribute - stick indexes, carries both men's and women's models. Reverso Classic - Arabic numerals, again, carries both men's and women's models. Reverso One - Arabic numerals but women's models only. If you like the Reverso, which line would you prefer, and why?

I love a small seconds on a dressier watch. So I went Tribute. But they’re all classics.

Classic Duoface offers classic face and tribute-like face, the best of both worlds 👍

I’m biased as an owner😅

·

I have the Reverso Classic monoface so I'm very biased.

All, any?

I love the Duoface tribute as I love small seconds and the ability to track multiple timezones. That being said I would not turn down any of them is I was given one.

The classic has both features too.

I chose the classic. I felt the tribute was more one note. I also did not want another blue dial and the basic black and white was most versatile for me.

·

I love the Reverso Tribute Monoface that I have so I'm biased and would go for that. In any case I think the Monoface is more true to the original but I have to say the duoface models are also hard to ignore.

You are smart! I forgot that the 2nd dial of some Classic models have stick indexes. So, you are right that they have the best of both!

By the way, I have a Tribute Duoface.

Same here. I like small seconds and the ability of tracking two time zones. I do not travel much, and even if I travel, I may not bring with me this expensive watch, depending on where I am going. It is good to have 2 different styles even just for the same time zone. Like having two watches.

Both Classic and Tribute are beautiful. Just comparatively speaking, I like Tribute more. I got the blue one as shown in the picture of this poll earlier this year. I do not currently have many watches with blue dial. So, blue is the perfect choice in my case, and it is beautiful!

Yes, I was in the same boat before, debating whether I should get a Monoface or a Duoface. Like you, I wanted the watch more faithful to the original design, but at the same time, having two dials on the same watch is very appealing. But once I was at the JLC Boutique and saw the 2nd dial, for me, getting the 2nd dial became a no-brainer... as the 2nd dial of the model I like is just simply stunning. The picture does not do it justice. Have to see it in person. So, in the end, I bought the Duoface version of the Tribute as shown in the picture of this poll.

Tribute Duo only comes in large right?

Tribute Duo only comes in large right?

I think so, but I am not 100% sure. I love the blue one, and I tried it on and found the size perfect. So, I didn't check if there are any other sizes. From the JLC website, it seems that there are some variations on the size, but they seem to be either larger or larger. 😉
