A Throwback To My First Watch
In 2019, I first started my fascination and hobby in watches. The reason behind was because of my father, who had a Longines Quartz watch on his wrist and I had always been fascinated by it that I wanted to save up for my own.
I browsed through many options, from Timex, Tissot, Casio, and more. My friend had recommended me to get a Seiko watch, particularly the SKX line. However, the watch had already been discontinued and was not in production anymore.
But as I kept browsing to find an alternative, I stumbled upon the Seiko 5 Sports line and realized that their divers design is similar. From there I browsed through the colourways and selected the black dial and bezel.
As I set this as a target, I started saving up and when I had enough saved, I was able to purchase the watch, and it did not dissapoint.
From there, the Seiko 5 Sports SRPD55K1, introduced me to the world of watches, watch collecting, and the stories behind them.
