Today marks the day where I will return back home. Originally I'm from Indonesia, but I moved to the UK back in 2019 to continue my studies in Edinburgh. After 5 years, it is time for me to come home.
But I wanted to reflect that this isn't the end, but rather reflect to how I was able to discover my interest in watches. Everything started here 5 years ago. From purchasing my very first watch, to learning how to modify a watch, to discover the hidden gems and beauty of vintage watches, to continue and grow my love for watches.
It is a bittersweet end to my journey here in the UK, but it is just the beginning for my love and hobby for watches as I'm eager to expand my collection, dig deeper to histories and knowledge of different timepieces and brands, and hopefully one day be able to share my love and passion for watches with others. Watches has been a life changing hobby that really opened my eyes to the appreciation of details, histories, and complexities in the art of time keeping.

Love that Timex. Years ago (40+) my father gave me an old (early 60s) Oris that looked almost exactly like that. Wish I could find one now.
