Hello WC members!

Just joined this morning and already loving the community. Part of other watch clubs but they devolve into mostly buying and selling watches.

Just love reading and discussing different watches and like minded members.

Thanks for the add!

I just hope this can stay relatively organic. I’ve seen a few bot posts, especially when it comes to swatch stuff. There’s some ads disguised as real interactions but overall it’s pretty great. Miles ahead of Reddit. In fact galaxies ahead of that cesspool of filth.

Can’t wait!

Here is my newest acquisition.

Purchased my first “real” quartz mechanical watch.

It is a GS SBGT003 dated from around 1995-96. Houses the 9F83 movement. I have synced to my GShock GW6900 and will see if it is as good as I hope. May use it to sync all my other mechanical watches going forward.

What I like about it so far is that it has a very nice case similar to the SBGW231, but even thinner at 9.4mm and 36mm.

The dial is pretty amazing as well. Has a fine grain similar to old ASA400 film.

Swapped the band with a rubber one I find a little more confortable.

Will post again in a month to see how accurate it is.

I'm huge fan of the double logo GS's. I'm eyeballing a couple of them right now but I keep getting sidetracked with other watches so I haven't pulled to trigger yet. Your day date is outstanding!

These two are outstanding. I’ve got the SBGJ201 Mt. Iwate GMT, but have lusted over the Spring Drive version for a while now. Had I not purchased the Hi-beat, I would have got the one you posted for sure.

That's a great watch to. I'm really going to have to buy one soon. It's going to be a minute because I bought a GO SeaQ in green last week. See I get sidetracked. 😂
