I am in Tokyo! And it is an amazing place to nerd out on watches. Second hand every second corner, big brands everywhere, and ofcourse to dive and drown in everything Seiko!
Gave my wallet to the Mrs so that I dont bankrupt! Any advice on Seiko and GrandSeiko JDM no date models r welcome!!!

Wow
All that I could see were way to lux and expensive for me :(
Huge fan of the GS anti-magnetic line...
Will ask about those
Maybe look at sbgw231,235,281 if you want some light/cream coloured dials.
Going to save up and buy one of those in Japan in a few years
If you have time go visit Kurono AD! It is small and cozy.
They are super nice and speak good English. They are very happy to help or just show you around.
If you haven't had the opportunity to go there yet, there are several excellent second hand watch shops at Nakano Broadway.
Enjoy Tokyo! I hoping to get back there in late August or early September.
The SBTR range with mechaquartz are super affordable and super good looking!
SBTR027 and SBTR011 are my recommendations but can't complain if you choose any of them.
Here's a video link that shows the entire range.

And here's my own SBTR027
(PS: Don't mind the tag which is still intact :D)
Have fun! Great place. I visited before i knew about watches, but did another nerdy but fun thing: had a drink in the (very nice!) bar of the Hyatt where Lost in Translation (excellent film btw) was filmed: New York Bar in the Park Hyatt Tokyio (3-7-1-2, Nishishinjuku, Tokyo 163-1055)

They have some coooool sector dials 🥰
Tokyo rocks!!🤘🏽🤘🏽 I’ll be there in July. The big electronic stores have cool watches. Bic Camera, Yodobashi even Don Quijote. Get lost and have fun!
Was just there in December. BIC camera has some really good deals / JDM Seiko and GS models. Shinjuku stores had the best stock! Nakano Broadway's also an amazing place if you want to get lost in vintage watches though I didn't see a lot of good seikos.

lovely, but too pricey for me, Honestly though I think the color scheme on this is a mistake, dull, lifeless green, etc

I have been there on tour 5 times, that is one of my favorite films, I almost went now, I guess it is golden week starting tomorrow no ? ( whole country is let off ) to enjoy the cherry blossoms, I almost made it. Have fun
So envious. Not that I have to tell you this but Tokyo is a watch shopper's paradise. Not sure if anyone else in the comments has suggested it but you should head over to Ueno, which has a lot of awesome watch shops. Best to leave your wallet with your wife though.
