My first watch. It has bears on it!)

Hi folks, recently I've visited my parents for the first time since the war in Ukraine started (we live in different cities and I wasn't able to travel for a year) and I was able to pick up the watches they gifted to me when I was a kid.

I got this when I was 6 or 7 y.o. on Saint Nicholas Day and I still have memories of looking at it and reading time during my lessons in school.

Do you still have your first watch around? Feel free to share your memories, cause I'm super excited to hear them!)

Cheers!

That seems like a really high quality kids watch! Really cool that you get a chance to get your old watches backs!I don't have any of my old watches around, mainly because until recently I was a 1 watch guy and when my watches broke they wouldn't really be worth salvaging.

My first watch was a little black faced timex wind up. Unfortunately haven't got it now, long gone I'm afraid. I do keep seeing them for sale on ebay and quite tempted, but I know it would be tiny on the wrist and it wouldn't be my watch so it's something I'll just leave to memory. Great you still have yours, and it would make a fantastic piece to pass down to a child in your family.

It's cheap quartz for sure, and there is no reference number engraved on the case. It looks like it was discontinued long long time ago, because I don't see it in current kids collection of Q&Q brand. Text on the bottom of the dial says "v303-003 yon" but I Google doesn't show this watch when I try to search these numbers.

I was mostly just joking, but I found the site for the Q&Q brand. Owned by Citizen. These little kiddo watches are pretty darn cute. It seems their newer ones are plastic cases.
