Creative watch collection displays

Part of the fun of collecting (anything, but also watches) is sharing the collection with others. For creative ways to display my collection, I like to match the display with the type of watch or the function. For solar watches, I use a tree-like stand near a window that gets plenty of sun. For field watches, I use a vintage military field box with watch pillows inside. For GMTs, I use a box with a world map on the cover. Nothing too crazy. But I needed something racing-themed for some chronographs...

Check out this motorsport watch stand made from a disk brake rotor. Yes, it rotates, and the flexible watch holders also rotate.

The seller, Mark, has 2 stores on Etsy that offer lots of other creative watch displays. This is his creative outlet, so not high volume / mass-produced stuff. But many great options that are creative and appealing.

How do you display your collection?

For now, in 2 watch boxes.

Hopefully by fall, I will have made my own unique display that will be as much art as it is storage.

Very cool Kevin, I like it a lot. I am particular about mine being encased in a box, plus, I have cats that are generally a-holes that would spin the hell out of this flinging every watch in every general direction.
