HELP!! Eagle eyes!! Can anyone spot the issue and should I bother getting it fixed??

Hi,

No help with this one!

Two questions...

  1. Can you spot what the issue is with my watch?

  2. Is it worth fixing, or should I just accept that I caused the issue and it's part of it's story?

I am rather OCD though with my watches.

Over to you!

No!! It's not the dust...

Keep trying

The consensus on here is going to determine whether I pay to send off to Seiko or not😬

Bezel/dial about quarter of a second off looking at the lume pip?

·

Seconds hand seems very short?

Mr.Santana

Seconds hand seems very short?

Yes!! You have the best eyes!!!!

The second hand snapped😱😱

£80 to fix. Do I stick or send back to Seiko??

Nope!

I tap out

I tap out

It's the snapped second hand☝️ Now onto Q2... stick or send to be fixed??🤔

I'd assume that any competent watch repairman, and many amateur DIY types, can replace a seconds hand. It's the one on top! Sourcing a pleasing replacement is likely to be the trickier issue. I'd look into that and consult a local jeweler/watchmaker before going all factory unless you are really concerned about having a leak test, which I'm assuming is part of this cost.

It looks more proportional to the hour hand now! Sorry, I know that’s not helping.

£80 is quite a bit of money. Just stick with it.

It's sourcing the correct hand that 8s the issue. Seiko won't ship a replacement 🥺

If you do decide to get it fixed, I would send it to Seiko's service center especially with this version of Arnie, there are sensors and bits inside that is best left to Seiko to deal. You do get a one year guarantee when you get the watch back after you send it off to get the seconds hand replaced, they do a pressure test and regular checks before they hand over the watch back to you so you should be good for the cost spent.

Bezel not lining up?

·

I could never find Waldo either…

·

Where is the snapped off piece? If it’s somewhere in there, you should get it out though.I would persevere in finding the correct replacement. Not helping I know, but I am pretty ocd myself. Good luck mate.

Actually all the hands look kinda small. Like they’re for a smaller watch.

the second hand looks short , the wrong size or broken. If it is broken I can't locate the broken piece may have slipped down behind one of the inner bezels. PLEASE return it your OCD has nothing to do with this issue. It looks odd. It is a solar watch not meant to be opened for its life please return it to the seller or deal with Seiko directly. You will more than likely receive an all new piece. Issues aside a nice watch they wear well for their size. Nice post!

·

nah leave it, I never noticed it, and there's no remanence in the case, is there? How long you had it?

·

I can’t be bothered to read all the comments. It’s 2:20 am where I am but I’m sure someone will point out that if it’s perfectly aligned it’s not a real Seiko 😂

If its still under warranty, then send ir back to Seiko.

·

80 bucks is a small price to pay for peace of mind. Send it in. 👍

·

Is there damage around the 57 area outer bezel?

Scrambler

Is there damage around the 57 area outer bezel?

No, just the light creating a shadow. It's the snapped second hand.

Thanks for all your comments and thoughts. It's on its way to Seiko as we speak👍

I couldn’t bring myself to wear it again until the hand is replaced.

digital way off from the dial time. hm,,,

·

How the heck did it snap off? Did you drop it? Definitely send it back to get fixed, nothing OCD about it.

As far as the slightly off bezel, I’m 2 for 2 with slightly off bezels with my Seiko’s, don’t really notice.

I know... it gone in yesterday😱
