Speedmaster on a 6.1in/15.5cm wrist?

Anyone with small wrists rock a Speedmaster? Tried the 3861 at the AD and while it's a big watch it seems to be fit my wrist, i.e. lugs don't hang over my wrists, due to the short lugs.

Had one. Sold it. Way too big.

How did you like how it wore on you?

That’s all that matters.

·

Wear it like you stole it…

I have small wrist and LOVE big watches. This is for you, not for anyone else. LOVE it? Then go for it

·

Agreed. Buy what you like. Have you looked at some of the 38mm options?

Wasn't a huge fan of the Speedmaster 38 but I am looking at the Zenith Chronomaster Original

100%. I guess I'm just worried about realizing it might be too big once the honeymoon stage is over

·

It doesn’t look too big.

My honest opinion is might be a tiny bit large but then I knew this guy who was 6ft 5 inches 250 pounds wearing a 36mm Datejust definitely too small on him but it was a gift from his rich wife who smoked at least a pack of cigarettes each day. Of course we joked that it was a matter of time before he could buy a bigger watch. Terrible but watches are supposed to be just fun.

Have you tried the First Omega in space. It’s 39mm on a leather strap. It wears small.

I have puny 5.5inch lady wrists, but was extremely tempted by a 38mm Speedmaster at one point - it looked ok from above but the thickness of it made me hesitate - you might find this size feels better on you

I would go with a speedy in 38mm.

The last time I had some loose coins, I visited the Breitling head office in Toronto to address that irritating not normal condition I was greeted by the charming manager who has managed the front office already quite a few years ago, time flies! I believe staff are encouraged to wear Breitling watches for obvious reasons, M has always sported a 43mm Navitimer often fitted with the shiny pilot style bracelet which is a pretty big statement on a attractive regular size lady. I reflect back to my earlier comment but must adjust and suggest that if a watch is a certain size that you like? You don’t need comments from the mob!

I think it looks great on you. It's supposed to be big and legible.

I have small wrists and tried the speedmaster at the boutique. I didn’t like it as much as I thought I would because of the size. I ended up with an aqua terra in 38mm after thinking about it for a few years. The only thing I miss is the adjustable bracelet.

That and the Seamaster are just too big for my 6.25 wrists.

Really like the Aqua Terra Shades, but thought it was odd that it was priced higher than the Seamaster 300. However if I wasn't looking for a chronograph the AT would be at the top of the list

I have relatively small wrists and all Speedmaster wear relatively well

I have a 6.75” wrist, a little bigger than yours but still not a big wrist. I think the Speedy wears smaller than its 42mm would suggest. The dial is smaller because of the tachymètre. It’s an asymmetrical case, the right lug is wider than the left because it’s a built-in crown guard. So it’s a little bit of an optical illusion and looks smaller than it really is. The lug-to-lug wearing experience is much smaller on the new 3861 because the bracelet falls straight down vs the previous 1861 model. Also, it’s a tool watch, it’s meant to be a little bigger because of the style of watch. Also, the mid case is thin, so on the wrist it doesn’t wear tall either because the caseback sinks into your wrist. It was always my grail watch and the first time I put it on, I actually couldn’t believe how much smaller overall it felt to me than I had in my head. It’s also a strap monstah! I change straps on mine almost everyday for different situations and it always looks fantastic! I say go for it! But I’m biased!
