Showing to the Tudor 1926 some love

Hey everyone, I am looking to get one Tudor 1926 for me and I would like to see some of your oppinions about this piece.

It is notorious the lack of good content on the internet about this watch considering it is a Tudor...

Another concern about this watch is which one is preferable, this Tudor 1926 or the Nomos Club Campus no the cheap bracelet?

Go Tudor. I personally like the blue numeral one. Only down side to this watch Is, not a in house caliber

Plus side would be it'd be easier to service down the line! 🙌

I think the 1926 is the most appealing watch in their entire lineup!  Go for it, man!

Nice dress watch but snowflake hands are killer. Those stand out from across the room. Maybe its just envy

·

For subtlety the Tudor would seem to work. But worst case you have 2 quality choices.

Among all the references in Tudor, I like the 1926 the most. That being said, I've fallen head over heels for Nomos and would pick those in a heartbeat. I don't expect I would actually purchase the 1926 in the foreseeable future, because while they are nice and I do like them, I don't love them.

In conclusion: pick the one you love - but in order to do that, you have to assess which you love. It may be both, it may be neither.

I like the 1926, but I just don’t have a reason to wear a dress watch that often. That said, it’s a  stunner and a great value for that price

Definitely a plus!

I love the dial and overall styling, but hadn't noticed that it read "ROTOR/SELF-WINDING" before. I'm a sucker for the olde-timey terms.

To me the 1926 has a class that the stark NOMOS, even with fun California dial, lacks.

Have you ever considered the prince line from Tudor? At first i was looking too for the 1926 but then i found out that the prince line is still in production but only in Asian market and i fell in love with them. They have great quality for their price and they are like a vintage DJ or DD. Yes the movement is the ETA 2824-2 but is a great movement which is easily serviceable by the majority of watchmakers and in good price. In my opinion the prince line beats the 1926 line every day..

Pictures don’t do the 1926 justice. I was shocked at how gorgeous it is in person, especially with the blued hands.

I love NOMOS, but that “Rotor Self/Winding” somehow makes the Tudor highly desirable.

I just wish the 1926 had subsidiary seconds, my largest complaint with the Tudor is the centre seconds

Thank you for your insight @Blackfish.I had no idea about the fact that Tudor has an entire line of watches exclusively for the Asian Market. Thanks for letting me know!
