New Watch Alert! Chopard Alpine Eagle 41mm

Although the model was released in 2019, I only discovered this new Alpine Eagle 41mm much later, circa May 2021. I was immediately intrigued by this model since then.

While some argued it looked too much like a Nautilus or Royal Oak, it didn't occur to me, at least not at first sight. Sure, Chopard jumped in the bandwagon of integrated bracelet, blue dials, and Genta-esque designs; but I believe the Alpine Eagle genuinely has its own heritage, its own identity, and deserves to exist and to be recognized for what it is: a stunning watch, extremely well executed by an often-overlooked brand.

Speaking of which, while I always had a positive opinion of Chopard, when digging deeper the brand history and values before pulling the trigger on the Alpine Eagle, I realized that Chopard was made for me and I was made for Chopard. Their use of ethical gold and steel isn't just marketing. Their contribution to good causes with the Alpine Eagle is spot-on. They're still independent, which is rare enough to be highlighted. When watching the different videos on Youtube, I genuinely loved how everyone in the company seems passionate and part of a same vision to deliver great watches.

The watch itself ticks all the wearability boxes for me. 41mm is the perfect size for my 17cm wrist. It's surprisingly thin, which makes it both sporty and elegant. The steel used by Chopard is not only ethical, but also 50% more robust than regular stainless steel 316L – who can complain? It takes the light like a charm, and the integrated bracelet is comfortable. This wasn't a requirement for me – I even tend to prefer replaceable straps – but it looks nice. And of course, the texturized dial is stunning, but this isn't my favourite feature even...

My favorite feature, in turns out, is probably not going to be for everyone: I love the Roman numerals. The typography fits perfectly in my opinion. Highly legible. And guess what? All this glows in the dark, a lot more than I anticipated! This beauty definitely deserves some lume shots, so please expect so more posts from me about this Alpine Eagle 41mm blue dial.

Absolutely stunning watch. I would rather have an alpine eagle or laureato than a nautilus. Regardless, all three are gorgeous watches

Neo Genta and a very handsome watch!

Congratulations!

One of the best releases in the past 5 years. It wears surprisingly small, the metal gives a stunning yet subtle white gold hue and the dial gives GS a run for its money. Congratulations OP!

·

I like it….I LIKE IT A LOT

·

I feel like it's an awesome watch that unfortunately, many people shoot down because it's an integrated-bracelet-sports watch. Congrats!

·

This is one watch I would happily sell my entire collection for, and just put through its paces with straps, scratches and dents all over the case.

That blue dial is everything 🤤

Lovely watch , around Zenith prices ?

Pretty much; a little bit higher, especially the blue dial, probably because there isn't a lot of pre-owned models available (at least in the UK).

Congratulations! This is a beautiful watch and I have learned something about the brand. Great points on the integrated bracelet & the market. I see this as a style of watch just like diver, pilot, sailing,  field, etc. Absolutely beautiful!

Very nice shot of your #chopard Alpine Eagle! When this watch first released I was quite critical of the watch but reading more about it and seeing more photos online and here on WC, it's starting to grow on me
