Took this quick fun lume shot of my new king last night. Got the watch last week, but the wife immediately stole it from me. First time wearing it, took this quick shot. Very different than any of my other watches.

Looks great but I immediately noticed the hand alignment. Is this that movement that had some fun bug/feature that led to this? I never really understood all that.

Hand alignment? I think people are looking to see something that doesn't really exist. Ming had some QC issues that were addressed. I think what you may be perceiving is a related to the a combination of depth difference between the hour mark (printed on the underside of the crystal) and the hands that are very close to the dial along with a very broad hour hand. When looking at from an angle it can appear very different from a traditional design where the indices and hands are almost on the same visual plane. When looking dead on the hands line up as you would expect, and it super clear they actual hours.
These are cool. The end.
Damn, I went to go look this piece up and $3k-$4k 😳
Holy Cow! Am I missing something, why is it so expensive?
(Yes I need it spelled out like a 4 year old, cuz I still don't understand things like horology and Grey Markets)
The Ming aesthetic is so amazing. It is kinetic art.
I've been transported onto the TRON grid and have been handed a disc whilst standing on a round brightly lit court...
Nice lume.... now give her back your watch.... lol Time for another one
Ming! nice ! such a cool design 🥰

You are not missing anything. The model I have is the 17.09 Burgandy. $1600. I bought it because I found the design to very unique and aesthetically pleasing. I wouldn't pay 2nd hand prices for it, but I do like it for the price I paid.

I think this might be the issue you are asking about...

Yes. Familiar with the issue. Ming addressed it last summer.

Yes, I'm familiar with that previous oddity, but I'm not picking on them for that. The OP's explanation of the elevated index markings explains the slight skewing when viewed from an angle.
