Screws always seem like the best idea, more secure, but pins seem to do the job just as well… and are usually the things in the non-removable links anyway. Also, screws by their nature prefer being left alone, not in a pivot point. In some ways, it’s more about looks. (Like so much in this hobby. Drilled lugs for example)

I've never had a bracelet with screws, so I don't know what I don't know there.
Pins have worked fine for me.

Have grown to love friction pins. Nothing worse than a screw that is locked in and cannot be broken free.
