Salute fellow Crunchers! Hope everyone is having a great and safe weekend out there.
Anyways, I was watching The Mad Watch Collector and he mentioned this watch on the video. I took a look at it and it's a great looking watch but for that price? Ehhhhhhh. I don't know๐ Is it really worth it?
Does anyone here have this watch?
Thoughts/Opinions/Experiences will be highly praised.
Thanks!๐

Nice classic G Shock looks but needs to be solar at that price, I think.
I ve got one, pimped up with bull bars and a combi- bracelet.
Featurewise its definitevly not worth it. You get the most basic module available. For me personally it was worth the price as i love the looks of it. The feeling of its materials ect.
I don t know how the grey market prices actually are for this one, but honestly i wouldn t pay more for it than original retail.
Ya get a screw down caseback, gold plated stainless steel core and bio resin. The caseback itself is made of this recrystallized material. Looks and feels very comfy.
Ya re welcome to look in my gallery for pics of it on my wrist๐

What?! I thought it was solar? Oh heck no๐ญ
Nope. No solar, no world time, no atomic
Looking sharp ๐

Well, there goes THAT idea. Thanks for the more detailed info๐ป
Silly since Walmart sells the regular 5600 on sale now and then for 50 bucks.
Yeah, I saw the same video from @MWC2020 about this reissue, and I just couldn't bring myself to get one at the original MSRP price. For the same price, you can get a GW5000U that has similar case features but also has Tough Solar and MultiBand 6, making it hard to justify the $300 original price tag for anything other than nostalgia, and I am not going to try to get one aftermarket. The lowest price I have seen on eBay for one is $350, and the average price is between $400 and $450, at least from what I have seen.

Yeah. I checked out the 5000U and I totally agree with the points you made. The 5000U will be one of my next watch purchases ๐

I love mine! It has become my favorite G Shock and one of my top ten watches overall!
