Good evening Crunchers! Saw this on my Instagram feed and SOME people were complaining about the number "666" on the dial. A commenter said that they would not wear the watch because it has the Number of The Beast on it.
I know that some of you on here own this watch. Has anyone ever gave you hell (pun intended) for the number "666" on the dial?

Wear what you like, in my opinion. There’s more than 7 billion people around, you will end up offending some of them at some stage in their lives. While some spend their time being offended, I prefer to enjoy my watch. And the devil diver is a damn nice one.
I'm currently waiting for the GMT to be available in our country, then I'll see if I can get past the 6s. I know its only a number but being a traveller piece, I don't think I like seeing this number on my wrist while on a plane 😀. But overall I like the design of this watch.
Dial is nothing. Try living in a house with three 6's! First home purchased had three consecutive 6's on Eastburn in Detroit. Never had an issue and wouldn't bat an eye wearing the Bulova.

I mean, come on, it IS called the Devil Diver. It's not like you're wearing the mark of the beast or you've looked in the mirror and said Candyman three times. I could see the Church Lady getting hot under the collar about it.

I remember the satanic panic in the 80’s. The taboo nature pulls me toward buying one. I’m not a frivolous buyer these days sadly.
The indices are really cool. The unfinished applied logo is a choice. The whole bottom text is perfect. The word choice, the font. The 666 text is impossible to improve. It’s so retro cool. I’m a sucker for crosshairs for the same reason. It’s a cool watch, for sure.
If I saw someone wearing one I would assume they are probably just really into watches and/or into the mid-century aesthetic.

I won't own a Zodiac because of a very lose connection with a Zodiac killer suspect owning a Zodiac watch. Many people share on their inability to own brands that supplied the Axis Powers in WWII with watches. SOME people should have their religious views respected like we do with other beliefs. There are a thousand reasons people won't wear a brand and I respect that. Devil Divers are cool. I don't own one. I'd probably buy a Lunar Pilot or Jetstar before I would buy a Devil Diver . No friction with the 666 feet just like the other Bulova watches more
