Replace current watches to build a better collection suggestions

Hi-ya all!

After 1.5 years of collecting. It is time to let go of some of my watches. Mostly because it's in the same theme/category so I would really love to hear the thoughts from more experienced collectors about this.I want to let go all of these circled watches to replace some and keep this:

What do collectors think? Is it a better / smarter collection? Which one would you add, include, remove to have more variety?

You already have some great watches, but you are correct that your collection leans heavy towards sports watches with a dressy side.

If you are looking for more variety, what variety are you leaning towards? Brand, case and hands, complication, function? That should drive your collection.

One thing I would recommend is stretching your budget on the watches you want. This will slow down the impulse buying and increase the percentage of keepers.

Amazing collection that you’ve amassed in such a short period of time. I got no better suggestions. Good luck and keep us posted.

I’m interested in the Citizen if you decide to get rid of it.

Thank you very much. I have this strategy and idea to have around 8 watches for the next couple of years from each brand to have 1. GMT, Small second hand, day & date (Hamilton).

Baltic, Mido, Tissot, MAEN, Seiko, Farer and one Hamilton. 90% of the watches I am not wearing or in love with it anymore.

Nice collection, but I can understand the desire to make changes to your collection, having made some substantial changes to my own collection. The watches you have selected as replacements for the ones you want to remove all seem to be good selections, although I notice that they are all mechanical/automatic. Have you thought of adding one of the Citizen Eco-Drive models to replace the Citizen you want to eliminate? There are a lot of interesting models in the Promaster line. I think something like a Promaster Tough would fit in your suggested new collection.

Eco-Drive movement, titanium case and 300M WR. One of these would be a great grab and go addition to your collection.

Fantastic suggestions. I would love to have a suggestion on more eco driven Citizen watches and maybe a full manual winding watch? To spice it up. Thanks🙌🏻

Here are my Promaster watches; my land sea and air collection.

Promaster Land GMT World Time

Promaster Diver (there are a lot of different color variants of this model and also a lot of other Promaster Diver models)

Promaster Nighthawk (again, there are variants of the Nighthawk and lots of other Promaster Pilot models; Sky, Navihawk, Skyhawk, and some non-Promaster pilot watches)

For a mechanical hand-winding watch, here is my Hamilton Khaki Mechanical

One of the classic hand-winding field watches.

It's good to see that you are keeping the Seiko Samurai a great looking watch.👍😉😃

Thank you very much. Yes, to be honest I don’t think you can get a better diver, with a ceramic bezel, amazing dial and 200m wr for 600 Usd. Can’t afford a more expensive one so this one stays😊

That’s a great looking collection👍. What’s your thoughts on the Maen? I’ve been looking at the triple calendar as well. For a gmt the Citizen Promaster shown earlier is a good bet. However, as you seem to like microbrands I can recommend Circula based in Germany

I’ve also recently pre-ordered a Venezianico from Italy.

That looks great, and if you’re willing to save up a bit I recently got this Raymond Weil Freelancer.

It’s currently my favourite watch but is substantially more than the others.

Looks like you’ve got some great options on the rest.

·

I agree that they tend to overlap with each other, but I would still keep the 2100 and the open herat Seiko too for a little more variety

·

Love the Baltic and Farer that you’re interested in. Agreed you should definitely trim that collection. But I’d probably keep that gshock casioak.

I'd never sell that. Get some Nato Extenders, and a Single Pass Nato Strap. Feels much more comfortable and is ideal for summer temperatures.

Also a G-Shock is THE choice, if you ever start with golfing, tennis, baseball, etc....
