Khaki Expedition 37mm - Wrist Shots?

I’m am strongly considering adding the Hamilton Khaki Expedition to my collection. I am a huge fan of Hamilton but have always moved them on from my collection for one reason or another. This particular model screams GADA + Keeper to me, but I’m curious what others experiences have been? Wrist shots for bonus points.

Nice watch! For me though…I’m looking at the 38 mechanical 🍻

Absolutely love the dial. Probably the best Khaki Field dial. Hate the compass bezel.

It doesn’t bother me too much - I would just designate the “s” as my “pip” and use it the same way I do a dive bezel.

I love it! I am glad I chose this out of the entire Khaki Field line. AR coating is great. I tried the Murph and hated that it looked like a mirror when I looked at the dial. Here is mine on a Tropic rubber strap and a Horween leather strap.

What a beaut! Thanks for the info on the AR coating and the comparison to the Murph.

The watch has only been out a few months. It’s probably way too soon to know what people think of them mid to long term. Most people are probably still honeymooning with the watches at this point.

My opinion, informed by what you wrote above, watching the hype YouTube videos by people who were provided vacations by Hamilton to “review” the watch, and seeing it in person over Thanksgiving, is that this would not be a long term watch for you. It’s not THAT different from existing Khaki models. You’ll tell me I am wrong, excitedly purchase it, and then sell it within a year.

I have the bronze mechanical, it's great, keeps fantastic time, the default strap it comes on looks awful after one wear though!!

Personally I think it’s almost perfect. As someone who regularly hikes, I actually use a timing bezel very often to time my hikes. If this had a timing bezel, I’d be all over it. I think a compass bezel is virtually useless.

Not for me I'm afraid I see to many other watches in its design .

I don’t disagree with this. The issue I’ve had with almost all of my Hamilton’s was the lack of WR and a screw down crown. This fixes that.

Fair criticism. It is, after all, a simple three-handed with numbers. Nothing groundbreaking.

That's only me and I don't matter Hamilton is a great make and if it suits you more power to you but check out the new pilot watch they have just done now that bad boy I'd jump at . It's all about your journey friend enjoy 🤝

Love the new pilot watch as well. I like this one better than the Cooper at least. It’s on the radar, but it lacks a screw down crown if I’m not mistaken.

Is this bracelet from Hamilton too? I have this white dial watch but it came on leather and I can't find the bracelet for sale anywhere.
