Hamilton X Dune?

If I had an extra $2500 laying around, I’d be all over this. Anyone plan on picking this up? Or have any strong feelings about the collab one way or the other? Is the asking price too much for what it is?

Zero interest.

And I'm a big fan of Hamiltons.

Colab and limited, two words keeping me away from watches 😅

Really interesting piece, but not for $2500. Hats off to Hamilton, they know how to mainstream their watches. I’m thinking musicians and movies. The first that comes in mind is the Murph.

I was tempted, but they’re way too big.

I’m a huge Hamilton fan, a huge Pulsar/PSR fan, a huge digital watch fan, a huge Dune fan… These two watches are terrible in both execution and pricing.

I don’t mind the design of them - the look cool af. Pricing is DEFINITELY too much to handle.

I’ve not ever dove into the Ventura line - are they similar dimensions?

I think, for me, these watches would have been fine in isolation, i.e., not tied to Dune. However, knowing how badass the prop piece looks, that's the one I want, not a vanilla-d, marketing-friendly, overpriced, quarter-way-there version.

If they had released a digital version of the prop piece, with a crafted dial with real screws and the other weird elements as opposed to a 3D printed, plastic-y "poster" version, I would likely have paid twice what they're asking for these.

What I was really hoping for, though, was a desert sand color DLC-coated PSR with an orange display. Or a sand dial field watch. Oh well.

That's a fair critique. Perhaps it will go the way of the Murph - they listen to their fanbase and make changes to appease enthusiasts. B/c I agree, the actual prop is way tougher.

That would be amazing! Let's hope. 🙂

The regular Ventura is much smaller than the analog Dune watch. Hamilton also makes a larger model, more in line with the design of the digital version, but that is also smaller than the execution they’ve gone with here.

Not feelin' it...

I’m a big Hamilton fan. I have two Venturas, and I might normally go for something like this, but for some reason I can’t explain, it’s just not quite doing it for me. To each their own though.
