Baptized my diver in the ocean

I try to make it a point to dip all of my divers in some sort of body of water. Today was the G5’s turn in the Pacific. Ultimately, I’m still a desk diver but I like the fact my watch was made for this.

I have worn my Montblanc Icedsea boating and gotten into the water with it on.

Very nice diver! I’ve not taken any of my watches into the water as an adult. Used to swim with my 50m rated plastic Casios all the time as a kid. They all survived the water. Most died from broken strap and severely scratched up faces. 😭

I wear my watches any time I'm in the water. I figure the whole point of buying a capable watch is so that I don't have to think about taking it off to do things.

That Vaer looks great, I'm tempted to pick up a S3 Calendar to try out a 36mm watch.

Agreed. I specifically bought this GMT diver to be my travel watch since it can handle just about any kind of abuse, so I don’t need to think about it. Added benefit is the jumping hour hand.

Also, Vaer has been great so far. My admittedly limited interactions with them have been fantastic, and the product quality has been outstanding
