I've been wanting an 80s style casio for some time now. The normal choice would be to go with the venerable F-91W. Not saying that I won't get one eventually, but this time around, I chose the F-84W for a few reasons:
I prefer the look of the band and the way it meets the case. Basically, it looks like it has lugs.
It's only available in Japan, which makes it a little more cool to me.
Henry Golding sold me on it in his GQ watch collection video. I highly recommend both that and Nico's reaction video.
Having said all that, it's a little bit smaller than I'm used to, but after just one day, it has grown on me. I'm still not used to the lightness of it. I keep thinking I left the house without a watch.
In any case, i'm happy to have a grab-and-go quartz. No winding and no having to reset the time when I wake up late and need to rush out the door.
Cheers!

absolute diamond and splendor. done right. The back cover is made correctly. The strap fastening is done correctly. Any straps are suitable. the module usually works better than in the f-91 model. Compared to this watch, the f-91 is an ugly piece of shit made for export. I hate f-91. I love the f-84, just like dozens of f series watches before it, in the correct case design. Congratulations! best purchase. you need to buy a whole box of them, as a reserve, and change them as needed :) and give them to everyone on any occasion :)
