Does anyone have suggestions for an economical, reliable watch winder? Forgive me for my naivety but my understanding is that’s where a watch should be stored if it’s not being worn for a period of time? TIA

If you look at the hashtag you will find many posts. It is a good question, but I would ask, do you need a watch winder? Unless you have a complicated movement like a perpetual calendar, you do not need a winder, in fact a winder will generate more wear and tear than if you simply store it. Modern watches use synthetic lubricants so longer periods of storage is not an issue. That said, if you go a month of so, give it a good wind either way.
