Grand Seiko Heritage Collection SLGH013 “Snowscape” Hi-Beat 36000

Free-flow champagne Sunday Brunch with the wifey and my son.  Decided to wear my GS GMT SBGM221 on the tailored Camille Fournet electric blue strap to match my blue shirt and the atmosphere at Hutong here in Hong Kong.  The Ruinart Blanc de Blancs was flowing and I was thinking about what to do next after such an indulgence.  I remembered that, on our way to the H Zentre in Tsim Sha Tsui, there’s a nice Seiko AD that have a great selection of Grand Seiko.  I told my wife “let’s stop and see” (I already had one GS model in mind…).  Few weeks ago, I saw some pictures of the upcoming SLGH013 “Snowscape” a Hi-Beat 36000 using the latest 9SA5 movement, the 44GS case and a crazy beautiful dial reminiscent of the Snowflake and the White Birch but different at the same time.  I already felt in love with the pictures on social medias and, when I put it on my wrist this afternoon, I knew I had to bring “her” back home!  Look at this dial!

Beautiful. I wish the proportions were just slightly smaller.

I also usually prefer ~38.5mm ± 1mm for my ~6.5-6.75 inches wrist…. Somehow, even on my relatively small wrist, it works.  Have you tried it @WatchN ?

Beautiful!  I can’t wait to see one in the metal. That shiny shiny metal!

Not this exact one but I’ve tried on the same dimensions with another dial by GS. Someone commented on another thread I’ll paraphrase - too large for dress and too dressy for sports.
to me that’s the no man’s land I find myself in with GS.

For sure my SBGM221 wears much dressier (especially on a Camille Fournet strap).  I see what you mean.  I’m still extremely happy with it and proudly rocking it today at work.  Cheers!

I love that strap pairing. Every time I see that model on the OEM/standard brown strap, it gives me very "meh" vibes but that shade of blue really pops!

I came close to buying this also!
I will add a GS to my collection sooner or later, but right now there are other watches that I know I want a lot more.

Having said that the next dial GS releases I might not be able to say no to so we’ll see. 🙃

I guess they're trying to sell to Shaq when he needs something small-ish on his wrist.
