Green Dial Cartier Santos?

What are your thoughts, folks? Is this a buy? The Cartier Santos is most definitely my next luxury watch pickup in a few years. The white dial is obviously the classic and timeless option. However, this green dial seems so special. I don’t own any green dials - for those of you that do, do you still like it years later? My worry is that green dials are a fad and I may hate it down the line. But they look so good…

I went to Cartier hoping to purchase this. They had it in stock, both the large and medium…unfortunately it is more of a grey blue when looking at it with indirect light. It is only green when hit with a hard light source.

Looks good but the screws don’t align. That would really mess up my OCDness.

Did you end up going with this blue one?

I like that they don’t! Also because they’re screws and have different torque they really wouldn’t ever align

All for it

If I didn't already have the WSSA0037, I'd definitely strongly consider this one. I'd still be concerned with scratches on that SS bezel though.

It adds character!

Agree with you about the colour. I was expecting a much more vibrant green and I didn’t end up really liking it in person.

When Omega released the green SMP I was extremely tempted to trade my black one for it.

I was worried I might have a similar feeling with this, but no. I’m much happier with my ‘traditional’ white face Santos.

Looks good, but the green probably won't be as bright as you might think it would be. I like the blue more, tho.

Yep. I own tue silver fave blue bezel large and I like it for the sporty feel. I am on a green kick and am now looking for a petrol green dial watch.

The Santos is on my list for this year. But I think I have to go traditional white face

·

Love the Santos! The green dial is striking. Happy hunting! 🤙❤️🎯

Thats a shame that the green isn't as bright as I thought

I feel the same! If it looked exactly like this photo, I’d be way more interested.

Tried one on recently. I love them. The green dial is killer. Price is also really ok and you get extra straps with quick change system. Very cool watch.
