2 years into this hobby and I am still figuring out what I love!

Welcome to my rant..

I first thought that i like vintage watches.. i bought one old omega deville and realized that it spends more time in the watch box than on my wrist. while i still dont have a solid every day watch

Then i got into colorful dials and fell in love with the yellow Citizen Tsuyosa, however, its big on my wrist and i only wear it once a month.

Then i got into divers, i got one seiko and i grew over it, then i bought an old Seamaster which i still wear, so i thought this is my style, and went and bought my dream watch, a bb54. To then realize that even the 37mm feels big on my wrist and wanted something even simpler.

Now I am looking at Rolex Explorer and i think this is my dream watch. i cant afford one right now though. But i am looking for something that has same proportions and design language.

idk why i keep making wrong decisions when it comes to buying everyday watches

I have a rant very similar, and as I always say when I order a new watch, “I think I ordered the perfect one.”. This time I think I have. I don’t want to jinx it till it arrives. Good luck to you…

100% a never ending hunt! 🤣

Man, I'm 15 years in and still figuring that out 😂

I wouldn’t call it wrong decisions. It’s just part of the experience. I bought a BBPro which I genuinely love when I’m holding it in my hands, but I hardly ever wear it.

My advice would be to slow down on the purchase, try them on as many times as you can.

Your tastes evolve. They may appear like wrong decisions now but if they brought you joy at the moment of purchase they there were aligned with your preference at this point in time.

Watch owning is an evolution where what you like is not always what you need. I love small watches now with the softest Nato straps I can find for comfort. I built a few with the features i liked from a bunch of brands mixing them into what i liked.

If you or anyone you know is having difficulty with their watch collecting. There is help #crunchersanonymous
