Lover of watches, especially Jaeger Lecoultre, A Lange & Sohne, Rolex, Omega, Grand Seiko to name a few. Currently own a Rolex Submariner, Glashütte Original Panomatic Lunar, Panerai Luminor Marina, Sea-Gull 1963 Chronograph and Omega Railmaster 1957 tribute.
How do people feel about the more simple / clean OP vs the Datejust which I suppose is more typical of the Rolex brand with the date bubble. I persona...
Thanks, I believe they call it a fluted dial and it does look spectacular as it has some texture and less boring. It's not available on the OP so only the DJ has that. For context I have a TINY wrist so the Jubilee hugs my wrist much better than the bigger links of the Oyster.
As you know these are hard to come by and yesterday I saw an AD had the DJ pictured above so yes, I am considering whether to buy or not.
Well, I absolutely love the Rolex Daytona Paul Newman but given the prices are now in the 6 figures and up, it seems I will never own one. So in terms of grail watches I could own, I guess the A Lange & Sohne Lange 1 is my current grail watch. I think they are absolutely beautiful pieces.
I love this watch, the perfect balance between minimalist simplicity without being TOO plain, from one of the best watchmakers in the business.
