Is this a frankenwatch?

I got this vintage (60s?) Certina automatic from Catawiki, from a 'seemingly' reputable dealer in Portugal. Came in good condition, wears well, love the look, but can't find any info on the model details after searching using Google Search and Lens.

Anyone can identify this, or is this a frankenwatch?

Looks good. Classic old school watch.

Nothing seems out of the ordinary to me. Looks great.

Love it! Nice acquisition. 🎯

Which model is it? Or is that what you're asking?

Looks close to this one, but not exactly:

It'd be interesting to know what movement it has.

Looks legit and the dial obviously fits the case, which is not a standard shape. Looks like a period dial and handset. Unless the movement has some other maker's markings, I see no reason to worry. Welcome to the world of vintage watches. I can't find jack on my 50's Universal Geneve online either. Geezer watch collectors haven't populated the interweb with every watch made yet.

Best way to tell if it's legit are the numbers on the movement and the back of the case....

Looks completely legitimate, and it great condition too.

Yes was wondering what model it was! My searches came up with other similar watches but with different brand names, thus I wasn't sure. Thanks for the finds, does look more similar to mine.

Thanks! Yes my 1st experiencing buying vintage from auction so many things not figured out. Regardless I do love how it looks so real or not is not really an issue, just curious about the model.

I haven't actually opened the case back on any of my watches yet, but I guess no better time

Certina usually marked their movements quite clearly. Pop the case-back off, find the number and reference this site for at least an estimate of the date range the movement was made in.

Thanks for the call out, will do that!

I think Certina usually signed their crown. The hands look consistent with the watch esthetic and other samples. If the movement is a Certina marked one, I think you’re good.
