Hard to say, but in a sense, a couple of the the Giugiaro Speedmaster Seikos picked up on the offset "driver's" dial in the 80s so maybe there's a little bit of a continuation there. I do love this one, though!

60s and 70s watches are what I usually collect. I never seen this series of seiko. I do love the Seiko skyliner series also.
