Monta Oceanking - Let's talk about it

So, I recently stumbled across this beautiful piece on YouTube. It seems like it has it's place among the fan, and the new edition (which I love) is a little more mainstream, but has the all specs, which makes this watch punch above its weight class.

Just wanted to check everyone's experience with this watch (whether you have, had or want one).

Even though the resemblance to a submariner is uncanny, I think this watch has a place.

I have the Skyquest (love it) but I have had hands on with the Oceanking too. IMO, it is one of the more well made dive watches in it's price point, and a top contender for bracelet under the $3500 price point. It is a good value new, but even better if you can find a well cared for pre-owned one.

I have not had any experience with it. I do own a Skyquest and a Triumph and can tell you that I feel they are amazing. I have no issues with them. I like the look of the Oceanking.

I forgot to mention that the customer service is first rate. This is a little thing but the crown is a little tapered and it makes it very easy to grip. I like the attention to the small details. #monta

All watches have a place. Don’t have this one but have the Monta Noble and it also resembles another watch from Big R. Doesn’t matter though cause it’s a pretty great watch itself.

This is the first I've heard of this watch, but it's honestly shot up to top three divers I'd pick under omega prices. Where in the top three depends on what I learn about their movement and servicing, but everything on the outside looks exceptional to me. If sinn would put their sword hands on the U50, that'd be 1st, and the Longines hydroconquest is somewhere at the top too.

I think the V2 looked a lot better and had more of a unique design. They took away some of the finer finishing on V3 like the inner lug polishing which cheapens and takes away what made it worth the price to me. I just don't see it being 3x the cost of a Christopher Ward at this point or close enough to a Tudor to justify another Sub look a like, which V2 was not.

That thing looks great! 😎

No experience with the new model. But, got to see the previous version in person along with the rest of Monta’s line up. I have the Triumph and my wife wears a Noble. Bottom line, if the watch strikes your fancy you will not, repeat not be disappointed in the quality of the watch in person.

Beautiful. Very Sea Dewller-esque

Top tier micro brand luxury without a name that will draw attention unless you know watches. These are fantastic and the quality is very high end. The bracelet alone is the nicest I’ve worn. The slide micro adjustment makes it fit perfectly. I have a 6.75 wrist and it fits and looks great to me. This is the v2
